GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia sophomore Amanda Sambach (Pinehurst, N.C.) and junior Jennifer Cleary (Wilmington, Del.) have been named to the 15-member 2023 All-Atlantic Coast Conference team as announced by the league office today (May 1). It marks the second consecutive year both players have picked up All-ACC honors.

The winner of the 2023 ACC Championship individual title, Sambach is ranked No. 40 in the current Golfstat standings. She shot an ACC and UVA record 16-under-par 202 at the ACCs. She currently leads the Cavaliers with a 71.57 stroke average. She has four top-10 finishes this year. In addition to claiming ACC medalist honors, she opened the season with a victory at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. Sambach has also been selected to play for the U.S. team at this summer’s Arnold Palmer Cup.

Cleary is second on the UVA team with a 73.14 stroke average. She has led the team in tournament scoring three times this season. Her best finish was a fifth-place showing at Tennessee’s Mercedes-Benz Collegiate where she helped the Cavaliers post a season-best score of 16-under 836. She shot 7-under 206 at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate, her best tournament score. She went 4-under 67 during the opening round, the best single-round score of her career.

Cleary and Sambach will compete with the Cavaliers at the NCAA Westfield Regional set for May 8-10 at The Club at Chatham Hills in Westfield, Ind.
