Virginia Women’s Lacrosse Has 16 Named to All-ACC Academic Team
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s lacrosse team placed 16 on the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team, the league office announced on Thursday (June 22).
Virginia’s 16 includes senior Jaime Biskup, junior Maggie Bostain, graduate student Courtlynne Caskin, sophomore Rachel Clark, sophomore Maureen Duffy, graduate student Nina Garfinkel, junior Mackenzie Hoeg, graduate student Ashlyn McGovern, graduate student Annika Meyer, sophomore Kate Miller, graduate student Taylor Mullen, junior Morgan Schwab, senior Kiki Shaw, senior Ashley Vernon, junior Devon Whitaker and junior Aubrey Williams.
All 10 of the league’s women’s lacrosse programs are represented on the All-ACC Academic Team, which includes 17 student-athletes that earned Inside Lacrosse All-America honors this season. Twenty-five members of the All-ACC Academic Team also were named to the 2023 All-ACC Team, including 12 first-teamers and 13 second-teamers.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
