CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Baseball America was the latest publication to place Virginia catcher Kyle Teel on its All-America team. The junior has garnered First Team All-America honors from five different outlets after a breakout 2023 campaign.
Going back to last season, Teel has started each of the last 123 games at catcher for the Cavaliers. He was behind the dish for all but 23 of the Cavaliers’ 573.1 innings in 2023. At the plate he batted .407 with 25 doubles, 13 home runs and 69 RBI. His 105 hits on the year were the fourth-most of any hitter in the country.
