CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia will host Texas A&M in the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Tipoff at John Paul Jones Arena is set for 7:15 p.m.

Television designations for the Challenge are to be determined. The games will be  featured on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network.

All 14 SEC teams and 14 of the 15 ACC teams will participate in the 2023 Challenge. Louisville will not play in the 2023 event.

Virginia and Texas A&M meet for the second time and first since the 1962-63 season. The Aggies defeated the Cavaliers 60-59 on Dec. 29, 1962, in Jonesboro, Ark.

In 2022-23, UVA (25-8, 15-5 ACC) claimed a share of its 11th ACC regular-season title and earned its 25th NCAA Tournament berth. UVA won 25 or more games for the sixth time and won 12 or more ACC games for the fifth straight year under head coach Tony Bennett.
