Gable Porter Takes Third In Greco At Fargo Junior Nationals

FARGO, N.D. – Incoming freshman Gable Porter grabbed a third-place finish at 132 pounds in the Junior Greco-Roman division at the U.S. Marine Corps USAW Junior National Championships in Fargo, N.D. on Saturday night (July 22).

Porter won four straight matches on his way to the semifinals before dropping his first bout of the day. All four of his victories en route to the semifinals were by superiority. His dropped his semifinal match to eventual champion Otto Black to move to the consolation bracket.

In the consolation semifinal, Porter posted his fifth win by superiority on the day before winning by fall in his third-place match.
