CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia men’s lacrosse head coach Lars Tiffany announced the addition of five transfer student-athletes on Friday (Aug. 25).

Joining the Cavaliers immediately are Jack Boyden (Tufts), Thomas Colucci (Colgate), Matthew DeSouza (Binghamton), Anthony Ghobriel (Navy) and Chase Yager (Harvard).

“We will be asking a great deal of Chase Yager right away on our team defense due to the graduation of five short-stick defensive midfielders. Thomas Colucci will also be tested at the SSDM position, along with the faceoff X where he is joined by fellow transfers Matt DeSouza and Anthony Ghobriel. With the departure of our only two faceoff specialists that were on our active roster in 2023, we have infused talent and created depth. We are also thrilled to have such a creative and artistic addition to our offense with Jack Boyden.” – Lars Tiffany
