NOTING THE CAVALIERS

  • Virginia remained at No. 6 in the Week 1 NFHCA poll
  • Daniela Mendez-Trendler had five points against Temple, with two goals and an assist, all in the third quarter. It was the most points by a Cavalier player since Annie McDonough had five against William & Mary on Sept. 3, 2021 and only the third time since the 2020-21 season that a Hoo posted a five-point game
  • Mendez-Trendler leads the team with eight points, all of which she posted in the three games last week
  • Freshman Mia Abello had a goal and an assist against Temple after scoring her first career goal at Saint Joseph’s
