LAKE ELMO, Minn. – Cavalier junior Megan Propeck shot 4-under 68 to top Virginia during the second round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Lake Elmo, Minn. Propeck’s round included six birdies and a pair of bogeys. She finished the day in 30th place at even par 144.

Propeck’s score matched her best 18-hole result at UVA. She also fired a 68 at the NCAA Regional last season.

The 25th-ranked Cavaliers dropped back to ninth place in the 12-team field with a second-round score of even par 288. UVA’s 36-hole total stands at 1-under 575. South Carolina continues to top the field at 21-under 555.

Amanda Sambach, who was the medalist at the event last year, shot even par 72 during the second round for a two-day total of 2-under 142. She lead the UVA contingent in 15th place.

Freshman Jaclyn LaHa is 36th at 145 after shooting 73, Celeste Valinho is 39th at 146 and Rebecca Skoler is 46th at 149. Both Valinho and Skoler posted scores of 75.
