CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior goalkeeper Tyler Kennedy (Houston, Texas) has been named the NFHCA  Division I National Defensive Player of the Week in honors announced Wednesday (Sep. 13) by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Kennedy logged four saves in Sunday’s 1-0 victory against No. 14 Harvard, her second shutout of the season and fifth of her career. She also had four saves in Friday’s victory at William & Mary.
