CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia junior striker Taryn Tkachuk (St. Louis, Mo.) was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week in honors announced Tuesday (Oct. 24) by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

This is Tkachuk’s second consecutive weekly honor.

Tkachuk scored the game-winning goal in Friday’s 3-2 victory against then-No. 2 North Carolina, deflecting in a pass from Lauren Kenah. Tkachuk also assisted on Virginia’s first goal, a strike from Noa Boterman that started a furious rally of three goals scored in a span of 5:17.

She has scored a team-leading seven goals this season and is second on the team in points (16).

Syracuse’s Pieke van de Pas was also named the Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

This is Tkachuk’s second career ACC Player of the Week award and the fifth time this season a Cavalier has been honored by the conference in its weekly accolades.
