Virginia Hosts North Carolina, NC State In Two-Day Tri Meet
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 1 Virginia women’s and No. 18 Virginia men’s swimming and diving teams will host North Carolina and NC State in a two-day meet at the Aquatic & Fitness Center beginning on Friday (Jan. 19). Admission is free.
All three teams will compete on both days. On Friday, diving begins at 2:30 p.m. and swimming events will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday’s competition will begin at 10 a.m. for diving and swimming events at 12:30 p.m.

Both days of the meet will be streamed on ACCNX which is available through the ESPN app and at WatchESPN.com. Live stats will also be provided by Meet Mobile. Fans can also get updates by following @UVASwimDive on Twitter and Instagram.
PARKING INFORMATION
Free parking will be available in the two surrounding lots of the AFC (along Alderman Road and Geldar Drive) and the east lots at Scott Stadium.

- NC State enters the weekend with the No. 4 men’s team and No. 8 women’s team in the latest CSCAA rankings.
- North Carolina’s women’s team is ranked No. 20 in the latest CSCAA rankings.
- Friday’s order of events is: 400 medley relay, 500 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 50 free, 200 back, 400 IM, 200 free relay.
- Saturday’s order of events is: 200 medley relay, 1000 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 free, 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM, 400 free
NOTING THE HOOS
- Virginia is coming off a split in last weekend’s dual at Virginia Tech. The women defeated the Hokies 209-91, while the men fell 191-108.
- Gretchen Walsh holds the NCAA’s top times in five events this season: the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 fly,
- Alex Walsh leads the NCAA in the 200 breast and 100 IM entering the weekend.
- The Cavalier women have the top times in the 200 free relay, the 400 free relay and the 200 medley relay.
- Noah Nichols has two top 10 times in the NCAA on the men’s side with the sixth fastest time in the 100 breast and the seventh fastest time in the 100 IM.
“SENIOR DAY” SATURDAY
The Cavaliers will recognize members of the fourth and fifth year classes prior to the start of activities on Saturday. Ceremonies are set to begin at noon.
