CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday (Jan. 23) that Virginia high jumper, Celia Rifaterra has been named the ACC Women’s Field Performer of the Week following an impressive performance at the Hokie Invitational.

In her second competition as a Cavalier, Rifaterra recorded her first victory in the high jump since transferring to Virginia ahead of the 2023-24 season. The sophomore cleared a personal-best of 1.84 meters (6’ 0.5”) to secure the win and move into second on the Virginia all-time indoor performance list.

In two appearances for Virginia, Rifaterra has finished as a winner, and runner-up in the high jump with a second-place performance in her UVA opener at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
