No. 5 Virginia Hosts No. 24 Chatham on Wednesday
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 5 Virginia women’s squash team (8-2) hosts Chatham (3-5) on Wednesday (Jan. 31) at 5 p.m. at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Va.
This match was originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19, but was postponed due to weather-related travel issues.
HOW TO FOLLOW
- Live scoring and live streams will be available
- The men’s and women’s teams will be playing simultaneously, each with a 3 Court System
- Admission is free
CAVALIER NOTES
- The Cavaliers moved up to No. 5 in last week’s CSA team rankings, their highest position of the season
- The Cavaliers finished the 2022-23 season with a No. 4 ranking, the highest mark in program history, and were ranked No. 4 this preseason, but were ranked No. 6 when they played their season-opener
- Senior Olivia Walsh leads the team with an 8-2 record
- Senior Meagan Best has a 5-3 mark at No. 1
- Sophomore Lina Tammam is 6-2 at No. 2
- Virginia is 2-0 all-time against Chatham
- Chatham is No. 24 in the rankings
