CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 11 Virginia men’s squash team (7-5) picked up an 8-1 victory against Chatham (3-6) on Wednesday (Jan. 31) at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Va.

Freshman Arhan Chandra played the match of the night at position three. Chandra battled Agustin Carranza for over an hour, coming out with a 12-10, 8-11, 9-11, 11-3, 11-5 victory.

Sophomore JP Tew, playing at position one, battled for a 15-13 win in his first game against Jared Nalliah, dropped his second 11-3, and then powered through 11-5 and 11-8 wins in the final two games to earn the victory.

Senior Myles McIntyre closed out the evening with an 11-3, 12-10, 12-10 thriller at position two.

The Chatham match was originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19, but was postponed due to weather-related travel issues.
