CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 9 Virginia men’s squash team (9-7) suffered an 8-1 defeat against No. 3 Princeton (9-2) on Saturday (Feb. 17) at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Va.

The Cavaliers had four matches go to five games, but could only convert one of those into a victory. Junior Max Velazquez picked up the lone win,  taking down Zain Ahmed 11-8, 1-11, 11-7, 4-11, 12-10 at position eight.

Sophomore JP Tew and freshmen Arhan Chandra and Dylan Moran all dropped their matches 3-2. Moran battled to a 12-10 score in his fifth game while Chandra was edged 11-9.

The Cavaliers close out the regular season on Sunday (Feb. 18) when they host No. 7 Cornell (8-6). The match begins at 11 a.m.
