LOUISVILLE, Ky. –  The No. 6 Virginia women’s tennis team (10-2) closed out the weekend with a 6-1 win at Louisville (4-5) on Sunday (Feb. 25) at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville Ky.

Junior Elaine Chervinsky and sophomore Meggie Navarro set the early tone with a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles. Senior Hibah Shaikh and grad student Natasha Subhash clinched the point with a 6-1 win at No. 1.

Chervinsky had an equally dominant win in singles, going 6-0, 6-1 to put UVA up 2-0. Sophomore Annabelle Xu and senior Sara Ziodato both posted 6-4, 6-1 wins on two and four to make it 4-0. Louisville picked up a point with a straight-set win at six before Shaikh and Subhash closed out their victories for the 6-1 final.
