PHILADELPHIA – The No. 7 Virginia women’s squash team (13-5) suffered a 7-1 loss against No. 2 Harvard (11-1) on Friday (March 1) in the quarterfinals of the 2024 CSA National Collegiate Squash Team Championships at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

Freshman Nili Sprecher logged the lone point for the Cavaliers with an 11-5, 5-11, 11-9, 11-7 victory at eight.

Harvard won the regular season meeting 9-0.

With the loss, Virginia drops into the consolation bracket of the Howe Cup, playing for places 5-8.  The Cavaliers will take on No. 6 Stanford (7-5) on Saturday at 3 p.m. in that bracket. The two teams faced one another in the MASC Championship final on Feb. 11. The Cardinal won that match 7-2.
