Virginia in Fourth Place After 36 Holes at The Show
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 24 Virginia women’s golf team is in fourth place following the first two rounds of play at The Show tournament in Las Vegas. The Cavaliers posted rounds of 6-over 284 and 1-over 289 for an opening-day total of 7-over 583. UCLA leads the 13-team field at 2-under 574.
Rebecaa Skoler was UVA’s top finisher, standing at even par 144 after the first two rounds. She shot 1-over 73 during the morning wave and 1-under 71 in the afternoon at Spanish Trail Country Club. She enters the final round in 10th place.
Jaclyn LaHa posted back-to-back rounds of 73 to end Monday’s play in 16th place at 2-over 146. Megan Propeck is in 20th place at 147 with scores of 76 and 71. Amanda Sambach and Celeste Valinho are tied for 30th at 5-over 149. Sambach had rounds of 75 and 74 while Valinho posted scores of 73 and 76.
Jennifer Cleary, competing as an individual, is in 56th place at 153.
