CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Four individuals and two relays from the Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boston, Mass. on Friday (March 8) and Saturday (March 9). The Virginia competitors include Margot Appleton (mile), Gary Martin (mile), Conor Murphy (800m), Anna Workman (mile) and both men’s and women’s distance medley relay teams.

  • Gary Martin and Anna Workman make their first Indoor NCAA Championships appearance.
  • Margot Appleton makes her third Indoor NCAA appearance after competing as a member of the All-American DMR team in 2022 and a fourth-place finish in the mile in 2023.
  • Last season, Appleton became only the second women’s miler in Virginia history to finish in the top-four in the event at the Indoor NCAA Championships.
