CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia’s Reece Beekman was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 2 First Team, announced Tuesday (March 19). The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division I.

Beekman has led Virginia (23-10) to the NCAA First Four and third-place finish in the ACC. He was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year and ranks first in the ACC in assists (6.3 apg) and assist/turnover ratio (2.98), third in steals (2.1 spg), 14th in field goal percentage (45.1%) and 15th in scoring (14.3 ppg). He netted five 20-point games and registered a pair of double-doubles at the ACC Tournament.

No. 10 seed Virginia (23-10) plays No. 10 seed Colorado State (24-10) in an NCAA Tournament First Four game tonight. Tipoff at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio, is set for 9:10 p.m. on truTV.
