CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The 23rd-ranked Virginia women’s golf team ends the regular-season portion of its schedule this week at NC State’s Wolfpack Match Play on April 8-9 at the Lonnie Pool Golf Course. The tournament precedes the ACC Championships that will take place in Wilmington, N.C. on April 18-21.

Based on current NCAA rankings, UVA will be the No. 2 seed and face No. 7 seed Coastal Carolina during the opening round at NC State. The winner will move into the Invitational Bracket and meet the winner of the No. 3 North Carolina vs. No. 6 Augusta match. The loser will move to the Consolation Bracket to face the loser of that match.

The other four teams on the opposite side of the bracket are No. 1 Wake Forest meeting No. 8 Princeton in the first round and No. 4 Virginia Tech facing off against No. 5 NC State in the other matchup.

Play gets underway for the top half of the bracket at 8 a.m. on Monday with UVA and Coastal Carolina set to start at 9 a.m. The semifinals scheduled to begin at approximately 1 p.m. for the upper half of the bracket and at 2 p.m. for the Cavaliers. Tuesday’s action also starts at 8 a.m.

UVA’s lineup will include Jaclyn LaHa, Rebecca Skoler, Megan Propeck, Celeste Valinho, Jennifer Cleary and Kiera Bartholomew. Substitutions are permitted during the event.

Amanda Sambach who played in last week’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur, will not compete in the event.
