Cavaliers to Host Virginia Grand Prix and Compete at Bryan Clay Invitational
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s and women’s track and field teams are set to host the second of four home meets at Lannigan Field in 2024 as the Virginia Grand Prix kicks off on Friday (April 12) through Saturday (April 13). A contingent of Cavaliers will also travel west to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday (April 12) and Saturday (April 13). Virginia welcomes six teams to Lannigan Field including Liberty, Marshall, George Washington, Navy, Seton Hill, and Willam & Mary.

The Virginia Grand Prix will not be streamed. However, live results will be available using a link posted to VirginiaSports.com. The Bryan Clay Invitational live stream can be found at Flotrack.com and live results can be found at Finishresults.com. The latest USTFCCCA Track & Field Ranking Index for the 2024 outdoor season were released on Tuesday (April 9) as both Cavalier teams found themselves ranked in the nation’s top 20. The Virginia men checked in at No. 12 while the Cavalier women rank No. 22. Additionally, 14 individuals rank in the top 25 nationally.

The Virginia men and women will compete at Lannigan Field once again next weekend. The Cavaliers are set to host the Virginia Challenge from Friday (April 19) through Saturday (April 20). At the conclusion of the meet on Saturday (April 20), the team will recognize the senior class.
