CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Shortstop Griff O’Ferrall, catcher Jacob Ference and outfielder Harrison Didawick each earned All-Atlantic Region honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). The Cavaliers have boasted multiple All-Region selections in each of the last four seasons.

O’Ferrall repeats as the Atlantic region’s top shortstop. He is the fourth Cavalier ever to take home multiple first team all-region accolades. Ference, a second team honoree, is also a two-time All-Region selection after being named a second teamer last season while playing at Salisbury University. Didawick received a second team nod, his first All-Region recognition of his career.

For the second-straight year, O’Ferrall is one of five finalists for the Brooks Wallace Award, annually bestowed on the nation’s top shortstop. He collected his second-straight First Team All-ACC honor at the end of the regular season. O’Ferrall has the most career hits and most career runs scored of any three-year player in program history. In his junior campaign he has 92 hits, joining Ryan Zimmerman as the only two Cavaliers to post multiple 90-hit seasons.

After a stellar three-year career that included a national championship at Salisbury, Ference quickly adapted to ACC play becoming one of the top power threats in the league. Going into College World Series action, Ference is hitting .354 (69-for-195) with 13 doubles, 17 homers and 43 RBI, all career-highs. He hit 13 of his 17 homers in league play. Ference was named a second team All-ACC selection and has the sixth-highest slugging percentage (.723) amongst his ACC cohorts.

Didawick was rewarded for a breakout sophomore season in which he tied the program record for home runs in a season with 23. The outfielder surpassed the school’s single-season mark for runs scored with 78 on the year, the third-most in the ACC. Didawick was featured on the All-ACC Second Team and is hitting .297 with 12 doubles, 23 homers and 68 RBI.
