CAREER
• Had the most career hits (270) and runs scored (196) of any three-year player in UVA Baseball history.
• Set the UVA single-season hits record as a sophomore in 2023 with 108.
• Finished in the top-10 in UVA history in career runs scored (2nd – 196), career hits (4th – 270), career at bats (7th – 285), career stolen bases (7th – 50) and career batting average (9th – .344).
• Started every game at shortstop for three seasons (186) and was at the top of the lineup in all but one game.
• Joined Ryan Zimmerman as the only two UVA players with two 90+ hit seasons in program history.
• Became UVA’s first member of the 50 career stolen base club since 2008 and only the second to play entire career for Brian O’Connor (2004-present).

2024
• Won the Brooks Wallace Award, annually bestowed on the nation’s top shortstop by the College Baseball Hall of Fame. He’s the first Wallace Award winner in UVA history.
• Recipient of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, only the third gold glove award winner in program history.
• Second Team All-American at shortstop according to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
• First Team ABCA All-Atlantic Region selection for the second-straight season.
• Garnered First Team All-ACC honors for the second-straight year. He is one of 12 Cavaliers in the history of the program to earn First Team All-ACC honors twice and one of three UVA shortstops (Mark Meleski (1980, 1981), Dean Pallotta (1973, 1974) ever to land on the first team in back-to-back seasons.
• Started at shortstop and led off in each of UVA’s 63 games. He was one of three Cavaliers to start every game in 2024.
• Batted .324 (92-for-284) with 64 runs scored, a career-high five home runs, 20 doubles, a triple and a career-best, 52 RBI.
• Successful on 17 of 21 stolen base attempts. The 17 swiped bags were the sixth-most in the ACC.
• Led the Cavaliers with 92 hits, the fifth player in UVA history to lead the team in hits in back-to-back seasons. The 92 hits were the fourth-most in the ACC and was tied for the sixth-most in a season in UVA history.
• Was statistically the toughest player in the ACC to strikeout fanning once every 11.8 at bats.
• Led the ACC and finished second in the country with 10 sacrifice flies. The 10 sac flies matched Steven Proscia (2010) and Dan Grovatt (2010) for the most in a season by a UVA player in the last 25 years.
• Named to the ACC All-Tournament Team after going 5-for-9 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and four RBI in two games.
• Led the team with 29 multi-hit efforts.
• His 284 at bats in 2024 were one shy of matching the school’s single season mark of 285 held by Chris Taylor (2010-12).
• Went 5-for-5 with five runs scored, two doubles, a home run and two RBI in the series finale against Georgia Tech on April 21. It marked his first five-hit game and his five runs scored matched a single-game UVA record.
Hit a home run to lead off the bottom of the first inning of the season opener against Hofstra on Feb. 16.
• Homered for the second-straight game with a two-run shot against Hofstra on Feb. 17.
• One of five ACC shortstops named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List on April 30.
• Preseason All-America Honors: D1Baseball (Second Team), Perfect Game (Second Team), NCBWA (Second Team), Baseball America (Third Team).
• As part of D1Baseball’s Preseason Player Rankings was the No. 2 shortstop.

SUMMER 2023: One of 31 underclassman to make the Team USA Collegiate National Team, was one of 54 underclassmen to receive an invite to training camp in Cary, N.C. … in international competition, batted .463 with a team-best 19 hits … hit safely in first nine games of international play … named Team USA’s most outstanding hitter of the Friendship Series against Chinese Taipei after going 13-for-21 (.619) in the five games … went 4-for-5 with four runs scored in game four against Chinese Taipei.

2023
• One of five finalists  for the Brooks Wallace Award, annually bestowed on the nation’s top SS. He became the first Cavalier ever to be a finalist.
• One of 25 semifinalists for the Brooks Wallace Award, the first Cavalier semifinalist since Chris Taylor (2011).
• Earned Third Team All-America and First Team All-Region honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
• A First Team All-ACC selection at shortstop.
• One of 12 Cavaliers on ACC Academic Team and included on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
• Listed on the Charlottesville Regional All-Tournament Team after going 5-for-14 (.367) with a run scored and two RBI over three games.
• Named the Brooks Wallace Award National Shortstop of the Week on April 11 after went 11-for-18 (.611), scored seven runs and drove in a pair of runs in a four-game stretch against Liberty and Miami.
• Featured on the initial Brooks Wallace Award Watch List on April 18
• Started all 65 games at shortstop and batted leadoff for all but one game (at Notre Dame-2 – 4/23).
• Batted .396 (108-for-273) with 20 doubles, two triples, a home run and 42 RBI. Was successful on 16 of his 18 stolen base attempts.
• Broke the program’s single-season records for hits (108) and runs scored (76).
• Averaged 1.66 hits per game, the highest in the country and ranked third in the NCAA in total hits (108).
• Led the ACC in hits and hits per game. Ranked second in the league and 12th in the country in runs scored (76).
• His .396 average was tied for the ninth-highest in a single season in program history and the third-best in the country.
• Batted .404 in 55 regular season games, the second-highest average in the league behind teammate Kyle Teel (.414).
• Produced a team-best, 35 multi-hit games including four, four-hit efforts (vs. Ohio – 2/18; at Liberty – 4/4; Louisville – 5/4 & Duke – 5/11).
• Went on a team-best 16-game hit streak from March 26-April 21. He batted .538 (35-for-65) with six doubles, nine RBI and 28 runs scored. UVA went 11-5 over the course of the hitting streak.
• Batting leadoff in all but one game, he recorded 28 first-inning hits. The Cavaliers were 23-5 in games he recorded a hit in the first inning. He had a hit in the first inning of seven of UVA’s eight NCAA Tournament games.
• Appeared on SportsCenter’s Top-10 at No. 7 for his double play turn at Georgia Tech on May 18. Also ended the game with a jump throw deep in the hole at shortstop.

SUMMER 2022: Played for the Kalamazoo Growlers in the Northwoods League … played in 24 games, batted .343 (36-for-105) with six doubles, a triple, a home run and 23 RBI … was caught only once in 16 stolen base attempts … named a 2022 Northwoods League All-Star … reached base safely in all 24 games he played in and collected a hit in 20 of those contests … in just his second game of the summer was named Northwoods League Player of the Night after collecting four hits including two singles, a double and a triple with five RBI … played alongside UVA teammate Anthony Stephan in Kalamazoo.

2022
• NCBWA First Team Freshman All-America shortstop, one of 10 listed on first team. Was the first Cavalier since 2013 (Joe McCarthy) to garner Freshman All-America honors from the NCBWA.
• A Second Team Freshman All-American according to Perfect Game.
• Listed on the ACC All-Freshman Team.
• One of five Cavaliers named to the ACC All-Academic Team and listed on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
• One of six freshman nationally included on the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List on April 12.
• Started at shortstop and batted leadoff in all 58 games of his freshman campaign
• One of four true freshman (Mark Reynolds – 2002; Daniel Pinero – 2014; Cayman Richardson – 2018) to start at shortstop for UVA on opening day since 2002
• Led the team and was tied for seventh in the ACC in stolen bases with 17.
• Was statistically the fourth-hardest hitter to strikeout in the ACC, striking out once every 8.7 at bats. Only Landon Frei (Utah) was harder to strikeout (10.0 AB/K) among Power-5 freshmen.
• Batted .308 (70-for-227) with five doubles, a triple, two home runs and 39 RBI. His 56 runs scored were the third most on the team and tied for the second most by a UVA freshman since 2004.
• Hit his first collegiate home run in a 7-6 extra-inning win over Boston College on March 18. His other home run also came in league play, a solo shot in the series opener against North Carolina (April 22)
• Put together four, four-RBI games, three came against ACC opponents.
• Named the Brooks Wallace Award National Shortstop of the Week on April 5 after he went 6-for-14 with three runs scored and 8 RBI in Georgia Tech series.
• Reached base safely in the final 18 games of the regular season, tied for the fourth-longest streak on the team.
• Recorded his first collegiate hit (single to right) on the first pitch he saw in the season opener against Bellarmine (Feb. 18)

SUMMER 2021: Named the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League Player of the Year … played 42 games for the Auburn Doubledays in their inaugural season in the PGCBL …  led the league with a .404 batting average (61-for-151) … Had 466 OBP, stole 29 bases and recorded 12 doubles, all which ranked in the top four in the league … his 27 RBI led the team and tied for the ninth-most in the PGCBL … Had a base hit in 31 of his 44 games, with 21 multi-hit efforts … In his first five games of the summer went 13-for-18 with three extra base hits and six RBI in five games (June 6-15)
