CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s basketball head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton announced today (July 23) the hiring of Jackson Kenyon as the Cavaliers’ Director of Scouting and Player Development. Kenyon comes to UVA after serving as video coordinator for Winthrop’s women’s basketball program last season.

“I am happy to announce the addition of Jackson,” said Agugua-Hamilton. “He came highly recommended to us as a young go-getter. After gaining experience in college athletics as an undergrad at Miami (Ohio), Jackson was able to land a video coordinator position at Winthrop right after he graduated. He brings positive energy to our program and a demonstrated commitment to enhancing our culture. We are excited to have him.”

A native of Deerfield, Illinois, Kenyon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain & Operations Management from Miami University (Ohio) in 2023. After serving as a student manager for the men’s program his freshman year, Kenyon joined the Redhawks’ roster as a junior and played for two seasons (2021-23) as a forward. He also interned in Miami’s athletic communications department in 2022.
