Former University of Virginia standouts Kate Kelly and Zoe Tekeian earned silver medals at the 2024 U23 World Rowing Championships Friday (Aug. 23) in St. Catharines, Canada.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Former University of Virginia standouts Kate Kelly and Zoe Tekeian earned silver medals at the 2024 U23 World Rowing Championships Friday (Aug. 23) in St. Catharines, Canada.

Kelly (7-seat) and Tekeian (coxswain) helped the United States’ women’s eight to a runner-up finish with a time of 6:08.35 behind Great Britain, who won gold with a time of 6:06.58.

Freshman Paula Lutz of Germany earned a fourth-place finish in the women’s quad, while senior Teagan Orth also competed for Canada in the women’s eight.
