CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia men’s golf team will open its 2024 fall season at the Inverness Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Toledo. The two-day, 54-hole competition will begin on Monday (Sept. 9) with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The Cavaliers will play 36 holes on Tuesday and finish up with 18 holes on Tuesday.

The Course

Founded in 1903, the Inverness Club has a storied history, including hosting the 2009 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships alongside the University of Toledo. The club is set to host the 2027 U.S. Women’s Open, the 2029 U.S. Amateur, and has been the proud venue for major tournaments including four U.S. Opens, two U.S. Senior Opens, two PGA Championships, one U.S. Amateur, one U.S. Junior Amateur and the 2021 Solheim Cup.
