CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today (Sept. 23) that Virginia’s Noah Josey has been named the ACC’s Offensive Lineman of the Week.

Josey is the first UVA offensive lineman to earn the weekly honor since 2021.

A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Josey was UVA’s top offensive lineman in its 43-24 road win over Coastal Carolina this past Saturday (Sept. 21). Josey helped the Cavaliers rush for 384 yards from scrimmage, the program’s highest mark in a single game since 1998. In his fourth consecutive start of the season at left guard, Josey helped spring Xavier Brown (171 rush yds) for a 75-yard run through the left side, the longest run by a Cavalier since 2018.

According to ProFootballFocus.com, Josey was also the nation’s third-best pass-blocking guard this past week with a grade of 86.2.

Josey and the Cavaliers (3-1) return to action on Oct. 5, when they host ACC foe Boston College (3-1) at Scott Stadium for Virginia’s annual Homecomings game. Kickoff is set for noon on ACC Network.
