CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Atlantic Coast Conference released its 2024-25 women’s basketball conference schedule on Tuesday (Sept. 24). Virginia will play 18 regular-season ACC games including nine games at John Paul Jones Arena.

The 2024-25 season will mark the first under the league’s new scheduling model. Under the new model, the Cavaliers will square off with their assigned travel partner, Virginia Tech, both home and away. Virginia will play eight more opponents at home and another eight on the road.

As previously announced, the top 15 teams in the final league standings will play in the 2025 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament, played March 5-9 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

ACC Home Schedule
Virginia will host matchups with Boston College (Dec. 8, 2 p.m.), Wake Forest (Jan. 2, 7 p.m.), Duke (Jan. 12, Noon), Georgia Tech (Jan. 23, 7 p.m.), Louisville (Jan. 26, 2 p.m.), Florida State (Feb. 6, 7 p.m.), Virginia Tech (Feb. 9, Noon), California (Feb. 20, 7 p.m.) and Stanford (Feb. 23, 6 p.m.).

ACC Road Schedule
The road slate includes Notre Dame (Dec. 29, Noon), Clemson (Jan. 9, 7 p.m.), Virginia Tech (Jan. 16, 6 p.m.), NC State (Jan. 19, 2 p.m.), Miami (Jan. 30, 7 p.m.), Syracuse (Feb. 2, Noon) Pittsburgh (Feb. 16, 2 p.m.), SMU (Feb. 27, 8 p.m.) and North Carolina (March 2, 2 p.m.).

TV Exposure
Virginia will make nine appearances on the ESPN family of networks throughout the 2024-25 season including eight games on The ACC Network. Virginia will feature on The SEC Network when the team travels to Oklahoma. Three more games will air on The CW.

Team Highlights

  • UVA’s full season schedule features 29 unique opponents, 13 of which made NCAA Tournament play in in 2023-24 and combined for a total of 14 wins in the tournament. Five of UVA’s opponents earned a five-seed or higher in the 2023-24 tournament.
  • Virginia returns seven players from last year’s squad, including Second Team All-ACC and All-Freshman selection Kymora Johnson.
  • Last season, the Cavaliers recorded seven ACC victories — more than its previous three seasons combined (3).
  • In 2023-24, Virginia knocked off four ranked opponents for the first time since 2008-09, including No. 15 Florida State (Jan. 21), No. 20 North Carolina (Jan. 28), No. 20 Louisville, and No. 5 Virginia Tech (March 3).

Pepsi Blue-White Scrimmages
The Virginia men’s and women’s basketball Pepsi Blue-White Scrimmages will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena. Admission to the event and parking in surrounding JPJ lots are free to the public.

Season Tickets
Season tickets for the 2025-26 season start at $60. Reserved Corner seats are available for $75 while limited Reserved Sideline seats remain for $90.

Group Outings
Discounted group tickets will be available for all games excluding Virginia Tech and Stanford for groups of 20 or more. Fans save 20 percent off the single-game price. Ticket prices vary based upon the seating area and opponent. Group tickets go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 1 to season ticket members and Virginia Athletic Foundation donors of $100 or more and the public on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m.

Single-Game Tickets
Non-conference games will go on sale Tuesday Oct. 15 to season ticket members and Virginia Athletic Foundation donors of $100 or more and the public on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 9 am. Games in January, February and March will go on sale later in the year.  Tickets prices vary based upon the opponent and seating area.

Fans can also purchase tickets during normal business hours in-person at Bryant Hall inside Scott Stadium or by calling the ticket office at (434) 924-8821. The box office opens at John Paul Jones Arena for ticket purchases beginning 60 minutes prior to the event. Fans are encouraged to purchase in advance.
