No. 3 Virginia Hosts No. 16 Louisville on Sunday
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 Virginia field hockey team (9-1, 3-1 ACC) hosts No. 16 Louisville (5-6, 1-2 ACC) on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 12 p.m. at Turf Field in Charlottesville, Va.

MATCH NOTES
- Both teams are coming off one-goal losses on Friday night. Louisville fell 2-1 at Syracuse and Virginia was edged 3-2 in overtime at Boston College
- Virginia had its nine-game win streak snapped with the loss. It had been the longest win streak by the team since 2017 and the best start to a season since 2010
- Daniela Mendez-Trendler scored both goals for the Cavaliers on Friday. She is now tied for the team lead in goals with Suze Leemans with five apiece
- Virginia leads the all-time series against Louisville 12-9
