No. 3 Virginia Hosts No. 8 Saint Joseph's Sunday at Noon
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 Virginia field hockey team (10-1) hosts No. 8 Saint Joseph’s (10-2) on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 12 p.m. at Turf Field in Charlottesville, Va.

MATCH NOTES
- Virginia remained at No. 3 in this week’s NFHCA Coaches Poll, the same position it has held since the preseason
- This is Virginia’s third top-10 match of the season. UVA logged 1-0 road victories at No. 5 Duke and No. 9 Duke
- The 1-0 shutout victory against Louisville last Sunday was the fourth shutout of the season for UVA. The team is ninth in the nation with a 1.07 goals-against average
- Midfielders Daniela Mendez-Trendler and Suze Leemans are tied for the team lead in goals scored at 5 apiece. Mendez-Trendler leads the team in points (14) with Leemans in second with 12
- Senior back Emily Field ranks third in the ACC in assists per game (0.70)
- The Cavaliers and Hawks played each other twice last season. UVA won 2-1 in Philadelphia last year and 2-1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Maryland
- Saint Joseph’s two losses this season have both been in overtime (at UConn and vs. UMass). Virginia’s lone loss was in overtime (at Boston College)
