No. 5 Virginia Sweeps No. 19 Western Ontario

The Cavaliers won 9-0 against the Mustangs on Friday (Jan. 30).

ANNAPOLIS, Md. –  The No. 5 Virginia men's squash team (10-3) swept No. 19 Western Ontario (2-7) 9-0 on Friday (Jan. 30) in neutral-site action at the US Naval Academy.

The Cavaliers won by 3-0 scores on all but one court as sophomore Ewan Harris battled back from a dropped first game to win 3-1 on court six.

This was Virginia's fifth sweep of the season and third against a top-25 ranked opponent. 

CAVALIER NOTES

  • Juniors Dylan Moran and Krishna Mishra are tied for the team lead in victories with ten apiece.
  • Virginia improves to 2-1 all-time against Western Ontario.
