Todd DeSorbo Named CSCAA Women’s Swim Coach of the Year

This is the sixth straight year he was voted the Coach of the Year by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia head coach Todd DeSorbo was named Women’s Division I Swim Coach of the Year, as announced today (March 24) by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

It marks the sixth consecutive year DeSorbo has earned the accolade.

DeSorbo led the Cavaliers to an unprecedented sixth consecutive NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship, becoming the first coach to win six straight team titles. The Cavaliers swept all five relay titles at the Championship, setting an NCAA Record in the 400 Free Relay, and won three individual event titles, tallying the highest point total in program history. DeSorbo also led the Cavaliers to their seventh consecutive ACC Championship last month.

The awards were determined by a nationwide vote of CSCAA-member Division I head swimming coaches and head diving coaches.
