No. 9 Virginia Heads West for Two Weekend Matches

Virginia visits No. 23 Cal on Friday and Stanford on Sunday.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  The No. 9 Virginia women’s tennis team (15-4, 8-0) is set for two matches in California this weekend, taking on No. 23 Cal on Friday, April 3 at 3 p.m. and Stanford on Sunday, April 5 at 6 p.m.

Live Streaming and live scoring will be available for both matches. Both will also be included in the Cracked Racquets ACC CrossCourt Coverage this weekend on ACCNX.

VIRGINIA NOTES

  • The Cavaliers moved up to No. 9 in the latest ITA Team Rankings after defeating No. 24 Duke and No. 5 North Carolina last weekend.
  • Katie Rolls was named the ACC Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week after picking up two wins last weekend, including the first top-10 singles victory of her career. She leads Virginia with a 13-4 dual match singles record.
  • Annabelle Xu was named the ACC Player of the Week after recording the clinching win over North Carolina.
  • Melodie Collard is 10-2 in dual matches in the spring and has won her last six completed matches.
