CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 3 Virginia men's tennis team (19-3, 11-1 ACC) closes its regular season with a Commonwealth Clash match against Virginia Tech on Thursday, April 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va.

SMITHFIELD COMMONWEALTH CLASH
- The match is part of the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash, with one point going to the winner of the contest.
- The Smithfield Commonwealth Clash, originally called the Commonwealth Challenge (2005-2007), has been a part of the UVA-Virginia Tech rivalry since 2014. It is an all-sports, points-based program with the Commonwealth Clash trophy presented to the winning school each year for its dominance in head-to-head competitions. The Cavaliers currently lead the Hokies 10-4 this season.
CAVALIER NOTES
- Virginia improved to No. 3 in this week's ITA team rankings. The Cavaliers have been ranked in the top five all season.
- Keegan Rice leads the team with a 28-4 record, going 14-1 at No. 2.
- Måns Dahlberg has reached the 20-singles victory mark for the second straight year, coming in with a 21-11 record.
- Sophomores Stiles Brockett and Jangjun Kim as well as junior Dylan Dietrich have also hit the 20-win mark.
- Dietrich reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ITA singles rankings on Tuesday (April 7) with a 15-1 record playing on court one.
- The Cavaliers have three other players appearing in the latest ITA singles rankings: Rice at No. 17, Andres Santamarta Roig at No. 49 and Kim at No. 122.
- As for doubles, Dahlberg and Dietrich are No. 7, Dietrich and Brockett are No. 10 and Dahlberg and Kim are No. 48.
