CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 8 Virginia women’s tennis team (17-4, 10-0 ACC) concludes its regular season with two home matches this weekend. The Cavaliers host Wake Forest on Friday at 4 p.m. and then No. 14 NC State on Sunday at 1 p.m., both at the Virginia Tennis Facility.
MATCH INFORMATION
- Live streaming and live scoring will be available for both matches.
- Friday will serve as Senior Day, with pre-match celebrations honoring Melodie Collard, Meggie Navarro and Annabelle Xu. Celebrations begin at 3:40, so fans planning to attend should plan on arriving early.
CAVALIER NOTES
- The Cavaliers moved up to No. 8 in the latest ITA Team Rankings after defeating No. 23 Cal and Stanford on the road last weekend.
- Virginia leads the ACC and remains the sole undefeated team in conference play with a 10-0 mark.
- Katie Rolls was named the ACC Freshman of the Week for the third consecutive week after picking up another two key singles wins last weekend. She leads Virginia with a 15-4 dual match singles record and is on a seven-match win streak.
- Melodie Collard is 12-2 in dual matches in the spring and has won her last eight completed matches.
- Isabelle Lacy is 11-2 playing on three and four this spring.
- The Cavaliers have five players appearing in the latest ITA singles rankings: Annabelle Xu at. No. 23, Vivian Yang at No. 81, Rolls at No. 82, Martina Genis Salas at No. 110 and Lacy at No. 111.
- Virginia also has two ranked doubles pairings: Collard and Yang at No. 8 and Xu and Genis Salas at No. 28.
