Katie Grimes Wins 400 IM Gold at US National Championships

IRVINE, Calif.  – Virginia swimmers are competing at the Toyota National Championships July 28- August 1 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif.

Prelims are at 12 p.m. ET each day, with the finals session starting at 9 p.m. ET.

All sessions will stream on the USA Swimming YouTube Channel, with finals also streaming on Peacock.

Thursday, July 30 Recap

• Katie Grimes won the 400m IM in a UVA program record time of 4:33.26. It was her second time winning the US national title in the 400m IM, having also done so in 2024
• Isabelle Stadden won her second gold of the meet, winning the 50m Back (27.09)
• Incoming Cavalier Alyssa Sagle won the 18 & under final in the 50m Back (28.03), securing a spot on Team USA's Junior Pan Pac roster
• Bailey Hartman took bronze in the 100m Fly, tying for third (58.43)
• Teagan O'Dell was fourth in the 400m IM (4:41.06). Sophia Umstead was seventh (4:47.71)
• Anna Moesch was sixth in the 100m Fly (58.73)
• Maximus Williamson was seventh in the 100m Fly (51.97)
