Virginia is 4-3 all-time against the Arkansas in a series that dates to 1984. The teams will meet for the first time since the Razorbacks defeated the Cavaliers 85-83 at the 1998 Top of the World Classic in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Razorbacks have a two-game win streak in the series and have won three of the last four matchups. UVA won the first three meetings in the series, including a 53-51 win in the inaugural contest in 1984.
In 2025-26, the Cavaliers posted a 30-6 record, placed second in the ACC at 15-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas finished 28-9, captured the SEC Tournament championship and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season.
The Cavaliers are 5-3 all-time at Capital One Arena and return to the venue for the first time since posting a 1-1 mark at the 2024 ACC Tournament.
