• Competed at the 2024 World Aquatics Short Course Swimming Championships (25m) in Budapest, Hungary, finishing fifth in the 200 Back and making the semifinals of the 100 Back
• Member of 400 Medley Relay team that broke the UVA record at the Tennessee Invite (3:02.01)
• Won the 200 Back with a time of 1:41.61 against North Carolina
• Made the A Final in both the 100 and 200 Back at the Tennessee Invite
• Has the top time for the Cavaliers in both the 50 Free (19.18) and 100 Free (42.13) through the first half of the season
2023-2024
• Did not participate in NCAA events to prepare for Olympic trials.

• 3x gold medalist at the 2023 Pan American games (200 back, men’s 4×100 medley relay, mixed 4×100 medley relay), and silver medalist (men’s 4×100 free relay).
2024 World Championships
• Swam the leadoff backstroke leg of the 4×100 medley relay helping the U.S. to record the top time of 3:32.53 in the prelims. In the night session, the American squad went on to win the gold, earning Aikins his third relay medal of the meet and his second gold.
• Earned gold in Mixed 4x100M Medley Relay by swimming leadoff backstroke leg in the prelims
• On Day 1 of Worlds helped US win bronze in 4×100 free relay by swimming a leg in the prelims. Became the first male Virginia swimmer to earn a medal at Worlds since 2014.
• Was fourth in the 200M backstroke (1:56.21)
• Finished eighth in 100M back final (54.50)
