The University of Virginia is pleased to offer clinical immersion opportunities to MSAT students interested in advancing their knowledge, clinical skills, and care of student-athletes by gaining hands-on experience.
Sports assignments may include:
Fall
Football, Field Hockey, M/W Lacrosse, Rowing, Baseball, Softball, M/W Soccer, Swimming & Diving, Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, Volleyball
Spring
Football, Field Hockey, M/W Lacrosse, Rowing, Baseball, Softball, M/W Soccer, Swimming & Diving, Tennis & Squash, Track & Field, Wrestling
Summer
Football, Women’s Basketball
Candidate Requirements
- CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS certification
- Bloodborne Pathogen certification
- Proof of professional liability coverage from home institution
Deadline
- Candidates are considered on a rolling basis, but all requirements must be submitted no later than 4 months prior to start of immersion.
Additional Details
- Housing: We are unable to provide housing for immersion experiences, except pre-season football camp.
- Meal plan: Some meals MAY be provided, depending on sport assignment, but cannot be guaranteed.
- Transportation: On campus parking is available, paid for by student, for $2.35 per day. Personal vehicles are required for certain sport assignments.
- All offers are contingent on successful background check.
