• Became the first Patriot in program history to be named the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Player of the Year
• Led the Patriots with a program-record 70.8 scoring average and a program-record -1.04 scoring average against par
• Led the Patriots to a historic runner-up finish at the A10 Championship, while finishing seventh overall individually
• Recorded eight top-25 finishes and five top-10 finishes during the season
• Twice earned medalist honors, tying the school record for tournament victories in a single season
• Co-medalist honors at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational after finishing 11-under-par
• Co-medalist honors at The Island at West Bay Collegiate Invitational after finishing 15-under-par

FIRST YEAR (2024-25)
• Mason's top finisher, tying for 15th among the 60 competitors at the A-10 Championship
• At the Championship he recorded best round of the day on day two with a 6-under-par 66
• McMeans' stellar 66 (-6) ranked fifth all-time in program history for an 18-hole score versus par
• Earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors three times during the spring and notched seven top-25 finishes, including four Top 10 finishes...
• His standout performance came at the Seattle Invitational, where he placed runner-up at the prestigious Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington
• Led the Patriots at the 2025 National Golf Invitational at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona where he earned a third-place finish
• Led the Patriots in scoring average, 72.58, the third-best in George Maso history
• Tied the program record with six eagles this season and is third overall in birdies in a season with 116.
PREP & AMATEUR CAREER
• Played his prep golf locally for Riverside High School in Leesburg (2020-23) and for Oceanside Collegiate Academy (2023-24) in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
• At Riverside, McMeans twice finished runner-up (2020, 2022) at the VHSL Class 5 State Championship
• The MVP for the Rams, McMeans earned All-Met First Team honors two times.
• In one season at Oceanside Academy the team won the 2024 SCHSL Class 2AA State Championship
• Led the Landsharks with a two-under par 142 (72-70) and was named to the all-state team
• Won the 97th Bob Riley Open played recently at Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, Va. hosted by the Washington Metro Golf Association. He birdied the first four holes to catch first-round leader and 2023 Champion, Owen Love.
• Finished 2nd in the 2024 VSGA Junior Stroke Play at The Federal Club. He tied for third at the 2021 VSGA Junior Stroke Play Championship.
PERSONAL
• Son of Keith and Peri McMeans
• Has two brothers, Luke and Cavan
• Vaughn's father Keith played football at Virginia (1987-90) and is the program's all-time leader in career interceptions. He led the nation with nine interceptions in 1987 which still stands as the school single season record. His three interceptions against NC State in 1987 are also tied for the school mark.
• His brother Cavan plays baseball at Belmont University and his borther Luke is University of Virginia graduate.
