“Sam continues to find himself in a variety of roles for our program due to both his significant lacrosse aptitude and open-mindedness to carry out any demand placed on him.  He is spending more time at the faceoff X but also balancing his time on both the offensive and defensive ends as a midfielder.  The staff relies on his athletic acumen to be able to insert Sam wherever he can best help us, and he more than willingly accepts these assignments.”   

2017
• Appeared in four of UVA’s 15 games
• Made collegiate debut against Siena
• Scored first collegiate goal against Cleveland State
• Also saw time against Robert Morris and Duke

HIGH SCHOOL
• A 2016 graduate of Gonzaga College High School
• Also spent two years at Landon School
• Was Under Armour Underclass All-American in 2013 and 2015
• Honor roll student at Gonzaga and Landon

PERSONAL
• Son of Tom and Lara Offutt
• Has two sisters, Alston and Grayson, and one brother, John
• Enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing
• Has done community service with S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat)
