Thomas Mencke
Thomas Mencke Pronunciation
TIFFANY ON MENCKE
2025 – “Bouncing in and out with his ball-carrying moves, there is no one better with the subtle redodges. This action allows him to freeze a defense, forcing them to be in-between responsibilities with their slides and inside coverage. Thomas is impervious to slashes and body blows, taking the more direct route to the cage regardless of the punishment. Thomas is playing the best lacrosse of his career, scoring and feeding with a high level of actualization with the results of such being significant playing time this spring.” 2024 – “Thomas continues to raise the level of his game as an offensive weapon. Challenged to become a more accurate shooter, he has done just that as evidenced by his 6 goals scored in the fall scrimmage versus Colgate. Naturally a feeder-first, Thomas is exceptional at finding teammates with pin-point passes. Thomas’ ability to absorb a check makes him a tough cover. He can literally take a beating and keep on ticking (borrowing from the old Timex commercials). Thomas does not shy away from contact nor the middle of the field.” 2023 – “Thomas is an offensive talent that can take a beating and keeps coming back for more. Thomas is balanced with his dodging, meaning he is constantly probing the opposing defense in hope of finding an opening for a teammate to step into while also prepared to physically engage his defender and both deliver and take the blow. A consummate feeder, Thomas has diligently trained to enhance his accuracy with his shooting and the results were clearly evident this Fall.” 2022 – “Passionate to be an impactful offensive threat … Surveys the field superbly while dodging, making pinpoint passes to teammates’ sticks … Anticipates openings in the crease really well … Does not let the opposing defense relax as he is always probing, ready to feed or let it rip himself.”
