TIFFANY ON COLSEY
2025 – “Is there anyone more ALL-IN than Ryan on his personal growth as a trusted teammate and lacrosse player? Few sacrifice time with family and financial opportunities to head north of the border for the summer to play Junior A box lacrosse: Ryan helped the Adanacs win a Minto Cup! He redshirted his first year in Charlottesville to grow himself and his game, and then he had a breakthrough year in 2024 as a first-line midfielder. Ryan continues to impress us all with his versatility as both a long-range shooter and inside finisher with multiple pump fakes. 2024 – “Ryan is surely making the progressive steps forward with his entire development. We can witness it on the practice field as he grows more comfortable with contact and re-dodging his way closer to the cage. This confidence stems from not only Ryan’s mental strength, but the raw physical power he is demonstrating in the weight room. Looks of awe and disbelieve were seen on more than one face as Ryan exploded the bar up with his bench press and squat maxes. After redshirting last season, Ryan is poised to earn significant playing time this spring at midfield.” 2023 – “Ryan has already solidified a reputation as a goal scorer in his first semester on Grounds.  Whether he is in tight to the crease or posting up on the left wing, Ryan’s shots find the net at a high rate.  He is a big target and has demonstrated impressive athleticism, highlighted by several sneaky higher-than-anticipated maximums with his bench, squat and cleans in the McCue Weight Room.  We are enjoying watching Ryan efficaciously prepare himself for the battle for playing time this upcoming spring.”

WHY UVA?
“My decision to attend Virginia was easy because it’s the best in every category that I considered. I really value the incredible student life on campus and the emphasis on alumni connections. UVA’s lacrosse team is a perennial national power and plays in the ACC, which is the most competitive conference in the country. UVA’s gorgeous campus and rich history is also something that is really important to me. I chose UVA because it offers the most well-rounded education and best college experience.”
