Trevor Paulson is in his second season with the Virginia wrestling program as a volunteer assistant coach.A 2017 graduate of Iowa State with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a minor in coaching, Paulson was a five-year letterwinner for the Cyclones. As a senior, he was awarded the Perseverance Award after battling back from two reconstructive surgeries during his collegiate career. He was a member of the Dean’s List at Iowa State and graduated with honors.A native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Paulson is the nephew of Virginia assistant coaches Travis and Trent Paulson.
