Alli Szymanski

Alli Szymanski joined the University of Virginia as a learning specialist in September of 2025.
Before arriving at UVA, Szymanski served as the coordinator of student-athlete success at Anne Arundel Community College, where she managed academic intervention services, NJCAA eligibility compliance, and student-athlete development initiatives for more than 180 student-athletes. She also advised the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, created engagement programs to connect athletes with their campus and community, and led academic reporting and award nominations.
Her previous experience includes working at St. Mary’s College of Maryland as the assistant director of athletic communications and assistant field hockey coach. In these roles, she developed and managed sports coverage, supervised student staff, advanced team culture, and mentored student-athletes on both athletic and academic growth.
Earlier in her career, Szymanski taught English Language Arts at Easton High School while also coaching field hockey and leading multiple school-wide committees dedicated to equity, student success and teacher well-being.
A native of Easton, Maryland, Szymanski earned her Master of Arts in Teaching and Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in educational studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she was a member of the National Society of Leadership & Success. She also holds an administration certification from Towson University.
