Andrew Sadler

Andrew Sadler joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) in December 2023 and serves as the Director of Annual Giving. In this role, he is responsible for managing the day-to-day strategy and operations for the VAF’s annual giving program, including the execution and fulfillment of the Annual Fund. Sadler solicits financial support to gather the resources necessary for athletics scholarships for UVA’s 25 NCAA-sanctioned teams, as well as for various Virginia Athletics priorities.
Sadler joins the VAF after spending the past five-plus years with the University of Georgia Athletic Association (UGAAA) and The Georgia Bulldog Club (TGBC). He joined TGBC in September 2019 and served in various roles as an intern, graduate assistant, assistant director of development for annual giving, and associate director of development. Sadler provided robust operational support for the annual giving team, which raised over $39M. He secured over $3M in commitments towards the $300M Commit to the G campaign through working with donors in the Magill Society. Sadler joined the UGAAA in August 2018 and worked as a Marketing and Sales Intern. He administered the student internship program, which included supervising a team of 22 undergraduate students that generated over $21K in ticket revenue while working alongside IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions. Sadler oversaw football gameday experiences to create memorable experiences for fans and supporters, generating over $30K in revenue.
While in undergrad, Sadler served as a Lead Marketing Intern for Xavier University’s Athletics Department. He assisted with game day operations, sponsorship fulfillment, giveaway distribution, and executing in-game promotions.
He received a Master of Science in Sport Management and Policy, as well as a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Georgia. Sadler earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Xavier University.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he currently resides in Charlottesville.
