Ava Chiarelli

Ava Chiarelli joined the UVA athletics department in 2025. She works with the Virginia men’s and women’s squash and tennis teams. She is responsible for assisting with the daily healthcare of UVA student-athletes, including prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for injuries and illnesses.

Chiarelli received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas in 2022 and her master’s degree in Athletic Training from Texas A&M University in 2025. While at Texas A&M, Chiarelli worked with football, high school, track and field/ XC, and tennis. She also interned with Mississippi State men’s and women’s basketball teams. Chiarelli is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association. She holds certifications in CPR/AED, Stop the Bleed, Mental Health First Aid, Naloxone, and fascial abrasion technique.
