Blake Lowry joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation in June of 2025 as a Coordinator of Annual Giving. In this role, Blake supports ticket and parking assignments for major athletic events and maintains a portfolio of annual fund donors. Blake joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation from Wake Forest University, where he worked for athletic communications and the Deacon Club.
As a Development Assistant for Major Gifts at the Deacon Club, Blake made numerous fundraising calls and raised over $66,000, while helping secure giving upgrades and new donors. He also played a key role in organizing key donor events and advancing strategic outreach. Prior to that, Blake was the primary Sports Information Director for Wake Forest men’s golf and both track & field programs while also supporting communications efforts across multiple sports.
A Missouri native, Blake holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications with a minor in business from the University of Mississippi (2023). During his time as a student, he worked with Ole Miss Athletics Communications and the Memphis Redbirds. Blake now resides in Charlottesville and spends his time reading, golfing, and taking in the local music scene.
