World Series Features Former Cavaliers Doolittle, Zimmerman
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Former Cavaliers Sean Doolittle (2005-07) and Ryan Zimmerman (2003-05) are set to play in their first World Series on Tuesday night (Oct. 22) in Houston. The Cavaliers are the only college baseball program to have a player represented in the last four World Series.
Kent Listed on ABCA All-Region Team
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia freshman Nic Kent (Charlottesville, Va.) is a first team honoree on the 2019 Atlantic American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region Team. Kent was the lone freshman on the first team and the first UVA freshman position player ever to be voted on the first team.

Taylor is First Cavalier to Play in Back-to-Back World Series
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Former Cavalier Chris Taylor (2010-12) will play in the World Series for the second-straight year when the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Boston Red Sox Tuesday (Oct. 23) at Fenway Park. The game will be televised on Fox with first pitch slated for 8:09 EST.
Seven Former Cavaliers to be Enshrined in UVA Baseball Hall of Fame
Seven new members will be inducted to the Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame at this year's Step Up to the Plate event on Jan. 26, 2019 at John Paul Jones Arena. The entire 2019 class was announced earlier today on the program's social media channels.
